POTTERY COLLECTION

Outermost Home features a wide assortment of unique handmade ceramics and pottery for your living room, dining room, kitchen, and elsewhere in your home. All of these original pieces are designed by renowned artists and craftspeople inspired by the sights and sounds, colors and light, textures and surfaces of the Outer Cape.

LAUREN HB

As both a sculptor and a potter, Lauren HB brings the same sensibility to her functional dinnerware and vases as she does to her sculptural commissions.  These handmade, small batch ceramics cross boundaries between functional ceramics, pure design, and sculpture. Whether you display them as pure works of art or serve sushi on them, their faceted forms will always inspire.  All pieces made by hand and are Slipcast in porcelain. Glazed with handcrafted food safe glazes. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Made in Cleveland, Ohio. Priced from $42-$142.

BLUE PHEASANT

From centuries-old techniques that inspire vintage-themed tablescapes to our new modern pieces that can star in your most sleek and chic displays. Each piece is made to be mixed and matched—patterns on patterns, color on color, unexpected pieces that fall perfectly into place. Here you will find items for your home that are the ideal weights, shapes, sizes, and proportions. These pieces are functional; items that feel as good as they look, and that look good any which way you pair them. Exclusive to Outermost on the Cape. Made in California. Priced from $20-$128.

LORI MOREAU

Lori Moreau is a potter and textile artist who makes her home with her family in Truro, MA. Her journey as a potter took her from hand-built forms to her current wheel-thrown work available exclusively at Outermost. Inspired by the landscape of the Outer Cape, Lori’s work evokes the sand, sky and sea and often incorporates sea glass she finds on the beach.  All pieces are high-fired stoneware with food safe glazes. Priced from $65-$115.

BIRLOW CERAMICS

“Birlow Ceramics” is a collaboration of partners Bill Hudnut and Thom Graves, and is named after their West Highland White Terriers, Birch and Willow.  Their studio is nestled in the Adirondack woods near a mountain lake, and the natural environment serves as inspiration for their current line of functional ceramics.  Each handmade object embraces the Japanese concept of “wabi sabi” - finding beauty in the imperfect, tranquility in the simple - and is evident by finger marks, hand-shaped rims and flowing glazes, all unique to each piece. Priced from $125-$145.
